Contact center payments

Take payments in your contact center — and take it out of PCI scope.

Every card an agent keys in or a recording captures drags your whole contact center into PCI scope. Pulse lets customers pay by keypad, text, or portal so card data never reaches agents, screens, or recordings — you descope from PCI while getting paid on the call, on PCI DSS Level 1 rails.

Three ways to collect

Get paid on the call without card data in the room.

Self-service, agent-assisted, or by text — each keeps the card number out of your people and systems.

IVR self-service

Route callers to an automated flow that collects payment by keypad — no agent, no queue, no card data in the conversation.

Agent-assisted (DTMF suppressed)

The agent stays on the line for service, but when it’s time to pay, keypad tones are masked. They never hear, see, or record the card number.

Text-to-pay mid-call

Send a secure pay link by SMS during the call. The customer taps and checks out on a tokenized page while you stay on the phone.

How agent-assisted works

The agent stays. The card number doesn’t.

Agent stays on the call

No cold transfer or dropped call — service continues while the payment is collected.

Hand off to secure capture

The flow moves to protected entry; the customer keys their card by phone (DTMF).

Card is suppressed & tokenized

Keypad tones are masked from the agent and recordings; the number goes straight to the tokenized gateway.

Agent resumes

The agent sees only a success or decline — never the card — and wraps up the call.

Why it wins

Less scope. Less audit. Faster money.

Descope agents and recordings

Because card data never reaches agents, screens, or call recordings, the PCI scope — and audit burden — of your contact center drops dramatically.

Works with your platform

Vendor-agnostic by design. Add secure payments onto the contact-center, UCaaS, and carrier stack you already run, instead of ripping it out.

Zero card exposure

Tokenized vaulting on PCI DSS Level 1 rails means no raw card numbers touch your people or systems.

Get paid faster

Collect on the call — by keypad, text, or portal — instead of chasing mailed invoices; teams see 90%+ faster collection.

Recurring on autopilot

Vault a card once and drive automated recurring or scheduled charges without re-capturing details.

Level II & III ready

Pass enhanced data on corporate and government cards to qualify for lower interchange.

FAQ

Contact-center PCI, answered.

What does it mean to descope a contact center from PCI?

Descoping means removing systems and people from the scope of PCI DSS by ensuring they never store, process, or transmit cardholder data. When customers pay by keypad (DTMF) directly into a tokenized gateway, your agents, screens, and call recordings fall out of scope, which shrinks the cost and effort of compliance.

How does an agent-assisted payment stay PCI compliant?

The agent stays on the line for service, but during payment the keypad tones the customer enters are suppressed — masked from the agent and from any call recording — and routed straight to the tokenized gateway. The agent never hears, sees, or stores the card number.

Are card numbers captured in call recordings?

No. Payment entry is isolated and DTMF tones are suppressed, so recordings never contain the card number, which is a common and costly PCI gap for contact centers.

Does it work with my existing contact center or phone system?

Yes. Pulse is deliberately vendor-agnostic and layers secure payments onto the contact-center, UCaaS, and carrier platforms you already run, rather than requiring a migration.

Should we use IVR self-service or agent-assisted payments?

Both are available and often used together. IVR self-service handles routine payments with no agent; agent-assisted keeps a human on the line for complex calls while still keeping card data out of scope. You can route by call type.

How fast can we deploy?

You inherit certified PCI DSS Level 1 rails and ready-made IVR, agent-assisted, and text-to-pay flows, so there’s no payments build to do. Book a demo and we’ll map it to your contact-center setup.
