PulseSMS for Zoom

Business texting, right inside Zoom.

PulseSMS brings your shared business-number inbox into the Zoom client. Send and receive SMS/MMS with customers from Zoom Team Chat and during meetings — no app-switching. This guide covers adding, signing in to, using, and removing the app.

Before you start

What you need

The PulseSMS app is available to existing PulseSMS customers.

A PulseSMS account

An active PulseSMS subscription. Not a customer yet? Talk to our team.

A connected Zoom account

Your PulseSMS administrator links your Zoom account to your organization once (see below).

Step by step

Adding the app

1 · Open Apps
In the Zoom desktop client, open Apps in the top toolbar, then Discover / Add Apps.
2 · Find PulseSMS
Search for PulseSMS and click Add.
3 · Authorize
Review the requested permissions and click Allow to authorize the app for your Zoom account.
4 · Open it
PulseSMS opens in the Zoom app panel. You can reopen it anytime from Apps → PulseSMS.
Troubleshooting
Don’t see PulseSMS after searching? A Zoom admin may need to enable it under Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → App Permissions. If the panel is blank or stuck on Continue with Zoom, fully quit and reopen the Zoom desktop client, then reopen the app. Still stuck? See the troubleshooting & support guide or email support@pulsetechnologies.ai.
Signing in

No password — you’re signed in with Zoom.

Automatic
Open PulseSMS and it connects with your Zoom identity, dropping you straight into your team’s shared inbox.
One tap
If you see a Continue with Zoom button, click it once to finish connecting (approve the Zoom prompt if asked).
Not connected yet?
If your Zoom account isn’t linked to a PulseSMS organization, you’ll see a read-only demo inbox. Ask your administrator to connect your account for full access.
Inside Zoom

Using PulseSMS

Everything your team needs to text customers, in the Zoom panel.

Shared team inbox

Every teammate sees the same conversations on your business number, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Send a text

Open or start a conversation, type, and send. Outgoing messages are attributed to you in the team audit trail.

Contacts & history

Look up customer contacts and past conversations right from the Zoom panel.

Campaigns

Send reminders, follow-ups, and announcements from templates without leaving Zoom.

During a meeting

Open PulseSMS in-meeting to check or send a customer text without leaving the call.

Carrier-grade delivery

10DLC-registered, regulated-carrier delivery so your messages actually arrive.

Prerequisites
All of the above require an active PulseSMS subscription with a provisioned business number and your Zoom account linked to your PulseSMS organization by an admin (see below). Sending texts and running campaigns additionally require the number to be 10DLC-registered for regulated-carrier delivery. Without a link, the app opens a read-only demo where sending and edits are disabled.
For administrators

Connecting a Zoom account to PulseSMS

Access is admin-managed — an administrator links a Zoom account to your PulseSMS organization once.

1 · Sign in to PulseAdmin
Go to login.pulsetechnologies.ai and open your organization.
2 · Add the Zoom account
Under Zoom accounts, add your Zoom account ID. Everyone on that Zoom account who opens PulseSMS will land in your organization’s shared inbox. (Or email support and we’ll link it for you.)
Find your account ID
Zoom web portal → Admin → Account Management → Account Profile, or contact Pulse support for help.
Uninstalling

Removing the app

1 · Manage apps
In the Zoom client, go to Apps → Manage Apps (or Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps).
2 · Remove PulseSMS
Find PulseSMS and click Remove, then confirm.
What de-authorization does
Removing the app immediately revokes PulseSMS’s access to your Zoom account — it can no longer read your Zoom profile or open inside your client. You’ll no longer be signed in through Zoom.
How we handle your data
PulseSMS keeps no standing copy of your Zoom data — your Zoom profile (name, email, account ID) is used only in-session to identify your organization. When Zoom notifies us of your de-authorization, we honor Zoom’s data-compliance process and discard any cached Zoom identity data for you. Your SMS conversation history lives in your separate PulseSMS account (governed by our Privacy Policy); to delete it, contact support, and an admin can unlink the Zoom account in PulseAdmin to disconnect the whole organization.
Privacy & support

Your Zoom data stays yours.

PulseSMS reads only your basic Zoom profile (name, email, account ID) to identify your organization and attribute your sent messages. It never reads or stores your Zoom chats, meeting audio, video, or participant data.
