Webex Embedded App

Text your customers without leaving Webex.

PulseSMS puts a full business-texting inbox right in your Webex sidebar. Send and receive SMS from your business number, send secure text-to-pay links and get paid on the spot, and work every conversation with your whole team — in the app you already have open. Add it once from the Webex App Hub and everyone has it.

Before you start

What you need

The PulseSMS embedded app is available to existing PulseSMS customers.

A PulseSMS account

An active PulseSMS subscription with a texting-enabled business number. Not a customer yet? Talk to our team.

A Webex organization

Your PulseSMS administrator links your Webex organization to your account once, so everyone lands in your shared inbox (see below).

Step by step

Adding the app

1 · Open the App Hub
In the Webex App, open Apps from the sidebar, or visit the Webex App Hub.
2 · Find PulseSMS
Search for PulseSMS and click Add.
3 · Admin approval
A Webex administrator approves PulseSMS for your organization once, for everyone. After that it appears in every teammate’s sidebar.
4 · Open it
Click PulseSMS in your Webex sidebar. You can reopen it anytime from the same place, or inside a space or meeting.
Troubleshooting
Don’t see PulseSMS after adding it? A Webex administrator may still need to approve it under Control Hub → Apps → Embedded Apps. If the panel is blank, fully quit and reopen the Webex client, then open the app again. Still stuck? See our support guide or email hello@pulsetechnologies.ai.
Signing in

No password — you’re signed in with Webex.

Automatic
Open PulseSMS and it connects with your Webex identity, dropping you straight into your team’s shared inbox — no separate login.
Private by design
The app verifies your Webex identity server-side and only uses it to find your organization. Nothing is stored on your device.
Not connected yet?
If your Webex organization isn’t linked to a PulseSMS account, you’ll see a read-only demo inbox. Ask your administrator to connect your organization for full access.
Inside Webex

Using PulseSMS

Everything your team needs to text customers, in the Webex panel.

Two-way business SMS

Send and receive texts with customers from your business number, right inside Webex. Replies land in the same thread.

Text-to-pay

Send a secure payment link by text and get paid on the spot — no portal, no phone tag. Great for invoices, deposits, and balances.

One shared inbox

Your whole team works the same conversation. Every outgoing message is attributed to the person who sent it, with a full audit trail.

Contacts & history

Look up customer contacts and past conversations without leaving the Webex panel.

Campaigns

Send reminders, follow-ups, and announcements from templates — all from inside Webex.

In the sidebar, spaces & meetings

Open PulseSMS from the Webex sidebar, inside a space, or during a meeting — no app-switching.

Carrier-grade delivery

10DLC-registered, regulated-carrier delivery so your messages actually arrive.

Prerequisites
All of the above require an active PulseSMS subscription with a provisioned business number and your Webex organization linked to your PulseSMS account by an admin (see below). Sending texts and running campaigns additionally require the number to be 10DLC-registered for regulated-carrier delivery. Without a link, the app opens a read-only demo where sending and edits are disabled.
For administrators

Connecting a Webex organization to PulseSMS

Access is admin-managed — an administrator links your Webex organization to your PulseSMS account once.

1 · Approve the app
A Webex full administrator approves PulseSMS in Control Hub → Apps → Embedded Apps → Private so it’s available to your users.
2 · Link your organization
Send us your Webex Organization ID (in the Webex Developer portal, or Control Hub → Account) and we’ll connect it to your PulseSMS account. Everyone in that organization who opens PulseSMS then lands in your shared inbox.
Need a hand?
Email hello@pulsetechnologies.ai and we’ll link it for you.
Uninstalling

Removing the app

1 · Open your apps
In the Webex App, open Apps, or an administrator can manage it in Control Hub → Apps → Embedded Apps.
2 · Remove PulseSMS
Remove PulseSMS from your Webex apps (or an admin can set it to Blocked for the organization).
What removal does
Removing the app revokes PulseSMS’s access to your Webex identity — it can no longer identify your organization or open inside your client, and you’re no longer signed in through Webex.
How we handle your data
PulseSMS keeps no standing copy of your Webex data — your Webex profile (organization and user identity) is used only in-session to identify your account. Your SMS conversation history lives in your separate PulseSMS account, governed by our Privacy Policy; to delete it, contact hello@pulsetechnologies.ai, and an admin can unlink the Webex organization to disconnect everyone.
Privacy & support

Your Webex data stays yours.

PulseSMS reads only your basic Webex identity (organization and user) to identify your account and attribute your sent messages. It never reads or stores your Webex messages, meeting audio, video, or participant data.
